BCAP's Board of Directors' Statement on the COVID-19 Vaccine
Boulder County AIDS Project (BCAP) Board of Directors’ Statement on the COVID-19 Vaccine
BCAP’s Board of Directors understands the devastating impact the COVID-19 pandemic has had on our community, our country, and the world. We believe that everyone has a role in controlling the spread of COVID-19 and in bringing it to an end. We strongly endorse the preventive measures defined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention including wearing a mask, practicing social distancing, and abiding by restrictions on group activities. Because we trust the science and the scientists who have now made vaccines available, we also recommend participation in the national vaccine program. We encourage everyone to educate themselves to fully understand the program and the vaccines.
While BCAP does not advise on or provide vaccination services, scientifically based and medically backed information is available so that everyone can make educated and informed decisions during these challenging times. We encourage everyone to talk with their health care provider about registering for and getting the vaccine when eligible. Whether or not you have a health care provider, we are including a link to the websites for the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment (https://covid19.colorado.gov/vaccine) and Boulder County Public Health (https://www.bouldercounty.org/families/disease/covid-19/vaccines/) to assist you.
